This blog introduces a new Cisco report that looks at how AI—and especially agentic AI—is reshaping global wide area network traffic patterns. AI isn't just adding traffic. It's changing the shape of traffic.
Meeting the demands of the AI era means that a new level of hyper-resilience is vital—delivering unprecedented bandwidth, energy efficiency, performance, and automation—across both core and edge environments. Read this blog to see what’s being announced at Cisco Live in Amsterdam this week for the AI infrastructure and networking portfolio.
For communications service providers (CSPs), AI isn't just a trend to watch—it's a once-in-a-generation opportunity to become pivotal players in a fundamentally reshaped economy, unlocking significant new revenue streams.
Today’s AI clusters can no longer be confined within a single data center. Instead, a “scale-across” approach is needed to seamlessly extend AI workloads and optimize resources across multiple data center locations. Cisco is introducing the Cisco 8223, our latest addition to the Cisco 8000 fixed series routers based on the groundbreaking Silicon One P200 ASIC, optimized for deep-buffered WAN and Data Center Interconnect.
Today, Cisco announces the expansion of their Service Provider solution portfolio and Agile Services Networking architecture in three transformative areas: Silicon One-based Routers, a new Multi-Agentic Framework within Crosswork with AI Capabilities, Non-Terrestrial Networking, and Mobility Services Platforms.
Service providers possess the networks connecting the multiple locations where AI data is generated, where AI applications are consumed, and the data centers where AI training and inferencing applications process massive data sets. Our commitment to service providers is to help them evolve their networks and capture a key role in the emerging AI ecosystem.
Generative AI applications are driving the demand for high-performance networking with AI/ML clusters in cloud provider environments. Cisco is introducing new 800G innovations to address these demands and improve outcomes.
Change the economics of your network in your favor with a simplified architecture that converges services on a unified, automated infrastructure for maximum scalability and agility to support the AI/ML era as well as 5G and beyond.
Covering the evolution taking place in the Web segment, the trends and inflections we see in those areas, and how we are partnering with our customers on their digital transformation journeys.
